Refund & Return Policy

At Spice Port (operated by BIJU THOMAS under the registered trade name SPICEPORT), we take immense pride in the quality and freshness of our premium single-origin spices and teas. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help you resolve any issues in accordance with our policy below.

1. Order Cancellations

You can request to cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase or before the order has been shipped from our estate, whichever comes first.

Once the shipment has been handed over to our delivery partners, we cannot accept cancellations. To cancel your order, please email our support team at info@spiceport.in immediately with your Order ID. Approved cancellations will be refunded in full to your original payment method.

2. Return Eligibility and Window

Due to the food-grade, consumable, and perishable nature of our spices and botanical products, we maintain strict safety and hygiene standards:

  • Returns must be requested within 7 days of delivery.
  • Items must be **unopened, with the original protective seal completely intact, and in their original packaging**.
  • We cannot accept returns for spice jars or packages that have been opened, unsealed, or tampered with, due to food health and safety regulations.
  • Custom blends, wholesale sacks, gift cards, and promotional sale items are final sales and not eligible for returns.

3. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged during transit, is defective, or contains the incorrect botanical items, we sincerely apologize. Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately (within 48 hours of delivery).

To report an issue, email info@spiceport.in with:

  • Your Order ID.
  • A brief description of the damage or mistake.
  • Clear photographs of the outer packaging and the affected products.

Upon verification, we will arrange for a free replacement package or issue a full refund, including any original shipping costs.

4. Return Process

To initiate a standard return for an eligible unopened item:

  1. Contact our concierge desk at info@spiceport.in to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
  2. Once approved, package the unopened item securely. Unless the return is due to our error (damaged/defective/incorrect items), you will be responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item.
  3. Send the package to our estate address listed below. We recommend using a trackable courier service, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.

5. Refund Processing and Timelines

Once we receive and inspect your returned items, we will email you to notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed automatically back to your original payment source (via our secure payment partner, Razorpay).

Please note that refunds typically take **5 to 7 business days** to reflect in your bank account, credit card statement, or UPI account, depending on your financial institution and Razorpay's standard clearing times.
